You can't take the sky from me
I finished watching "Firefly" last night. I'm on a bit of a Joss Whedon kick this summer. I finally finished all seven seasons of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", which depressed me so much that I needed to continue to get my hands on everything Joss ever did. I decided to put "Angel" on hold and watch this short-lived series.
I should say unfairly short series. The last episode left so much unanswered. I at least have the movie, Serenity, to look forward to, but I'm not quite sure that's going to cut it. I completely understand why so many fans were upset by its cancellation.
I loved each and every character aboard this ship, which is rare. There is usually that one that you want gone for good or at least have less screen time. Instead, I grew to love each character for all of their unabashed quirks. Although, I do admit I favored Kaylee and Mal the most.
Now that I'm officially in love with Nathan Fillion, I need to add "Castle" to my ever growing list of television shows I must watch.
One thing is for certain though, there will never quite be a show like "Firefly" ever again and this I'm disheartened by because it was truly a wondrous creation.
